With the fact that most of ADHD’s research being male-centered, formal diagnoses for females have severely lagged behind. This bias has resulted in roughly 70% of women with ADHD being misdiagnosed during childhood. Consequently, women with ADHD suffered for almost their entire lives with the pressure and forcing to fit inside the box of what is considered appropriate behavior.
