Pink Requiem is a multi-disciplinary design thesis exploring the psychological friction of the digital divide. By merging a subcultural jewelry brand with a "hostile" e-commerce platform, the project creates a speculative simulation of Digital Dread. The collection features "Chrome Relics" digitally sculpted in Nomad Sculpt, which blend Cyber-Y2K aesthetics with Soft-Gothic symbolism.
While modern UX prioritizes frictionless ease, this project weaponizes Dark Patterns, such as cursor lag and repelling buttons, to mirror the technical anxiety and "fear of the click" experienced by older generations (Digital Immigrants). By forcing "Digital Natives" to navigate a digital minefield, the project turns a routine purchase into a high-stakes ritual of hesitation. Pink Requiem is not a solution for poor interface design, but an interactive art piece designed to bridge the generational empathy gap through the beauty of intentional discomfort and sensory resistance.
