In a society where the nightlife career has been perceived negatively, judged, and not fully accepted, this documentary explores the everyday life of women working in night karaoke bars. These women are often seen through their jobs, which explains a lot about how they’re being stereotyped. Shifting away from the view of judgements, this film will present them as ordinary women with daily routines, expressions of their personal struggles and emotions that are shaped by social and economic limits.
Looking past the dramas and sensational storytelling, it allows them to be themselves and capture their most realistic moments. By doing so, the film excluded all the external judgements and created a respectful space for their voices to be heard. Instead of focusing on the questions of why they chose to work in this industry, the film asks what choices were available for them at the time.
It defines the nightlife work as a form of labour forced to survive, highlighting the humanity of the women and the social attitudes that only perceive them by their occupation.
